Stories in the Flesh: Can Illustration Deconstruct the Meat Paradox?

The meat paradox is the mental distance we create between the meat that we eat and the idea or knowledge that it comes from a thinking, feeling animal, which reduces feelings of discomfort, guilt and empathy. This project was about examining this mental distance and attempting to close or narrow it through this short comic narrative, which represents the culmination of extensive field research and experimental creative exploration.
